"Humility is knowing you're not above anyone, and treating everyone with equal respect and worth."

Humility is one of the most beautiful traits a person can have. Throughout my life, I’ve encountered many people, and I’ve noticed that pride or ego often takes center stage. It’s easy to fall into the trap of wanting to feel superior, but I’ve learned that true strength lies in humility.

I have been inspired by amazing people like Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, and Mahatma Gandhi. They did so many incredible things to help others, but they were also very humble and kind. They showed that being humble doesn’t mean you are weak; it means you are strong enough to care for others and treat everyone with respect.

Their lives teach me that kindness and humility can make a big difference in the world. When we are kind and caring, we can connect with people and make them feel valued. These great leaders remind me to always stay grounded and to help others whenever I can, no matter how small the action may seem.

A few years ago, while pursuing a degree from an American University, as part of my internship, I worked under a veteran teacher with over 25 years of experience. She had every reason to assert her authority, but she didn’t. Instead, she treated me as an equal, always encouraging me and making me feel valued. That experience taught me that humility builds confidence in others, it’s a gift we give to the people around us.

As I continue my journey, I strive to live with humility. It’s a quality I hope to pass on to my children because humility isn’t a weakness; it’s a quiet strength that makes the world a better place.
