What Makes a Pure Heart and a Positive Mind?

One day, a friend asked me, “How do you have such a pure heart, and how do you stay positive?” I told her that purity and positivity are already within us. The only difference is what we choose to focus on in life.
In my life, I have gone through both good and bad experiences. I have faced pain, trauma and difficult situations. At times, I questioned myself, “Why did this happen to me?” For a long time, I kept asking, "Why me?" "Why did I deserve this pain?"
At the same time, I feel very grateful. My parents, my siblings, my husband, my daughters, and my friends have always supported me.
After my spiritual journey, my thinking slowly changed. What if bad experiences are not punishment? What if they are lessons? I began to understand that those painful experiences were not just problems, but lessons. What if our struggles are actually helping us grow?
In the last few years, I have learned to practice unconditional love, gratitude, and forgiveness, etc. I learned these not during easy times, but through my difficult experiences. Can we truly understand these values without going through challenges?
We often think life is about degrees, jobs, assets, and finances, but those are only a small part of our journey. The real question is: who are we becoming as a person? Purity and positivity are within us, so what will you choose to focus on today?
